ARGEX expanded clay is used for insulating and filling heat storage tanks (salt tanks). It is ideal for this type of application due to its dimensional stability, since it is an electronically neutral product and does not lose its properties over time, it has excellent thermal insulation properties and resistance to high temperatures (1200°C).

The mechanical and physical properties of the aggregate make it an ideal product to apply in insulating and filling heat storage tanks (salt tanks), normally used in solar thermal plants.

It may also be applied in any similar type of large size structure.
