The Product
Argex® expanded clay is a lightweight spherical-shaped aggregate, with an internal structure made of ceramic foam with micropores, and a rigid and sturdy surface, which makes the product an excellent solution for the construction sector.
ARGEX® is a natural, ecological, long-lasting, non-combustible and inert product that does not degrade or rot; it is lightweight and capable of storing a certain amount of moisture, which is then slowly released.
Its use can reduce the load on structures and contributes to significant savings in materials. The aggregate has important thermal and acoustic insulation properties due to its internal pores.

Manufacture
Argex® expanded clay is an insulating material produced from carefully selected natural clay. When heated in kilns at high temperatures (1200°C), gases that cause expansion and micropores are formed, making it light, but with high thermal and acoustic insulation.
Distribution
Argex has a fast and efficient distribution fleet covering all of mainland Portugal, delivering ARGEX® expanded clay to a large number of projects.
Supply
50-litre bags
They are supplied on pallets with 65 bags, totalling 3,25 m³.
Bigbag of 1,5 m³
Bags of 1,5 m³ with handles for lifting and handling. The bags are not returnable.
Bigbag of 3,0 m³
Bags of 3,0 m³ with handles for lifting and handling. The bags are not returnable.
Bulk
Loaded at the factory from the silo onto a truck.
