Environmental Product Declaration
Argex - Expanded Clay, SA has the Environmental Product Declaration for "Light Expanded Clay Aggregate" in the DAPHabitat System in accordance with ISO 14025, EN 15804 and EN 15942, and also in the ECO European Platform DAP's List.
The DAPHabitat System is an EPD programme for products and services of the habitat field.
An environmental statement is a concise document that summarizes the environmental profile of a component, end product or service in a standardized and objective manner.
The primary purpose of a (EPD) is to demonstrate the environmental performance of a product or service based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies.
EPDs are created in accordance to European standards that reflect the increasing market demands. As far as the market of construction products are concerned, and according to the Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament, when assessing the performance of a construction product, account should also be taken of the health and safety aspects related to its use during its entire life cycle. The same Regulation also reads that for the assessment of the sustainable use of resources and of the impact of construction works on the environment Environmental Products Declarations should be used.
